Staten Island, New York

Although it is the most suburban of the boroughs and known to some as the “forgotten borough”, Staten Island is renowned for its ferry that shuttles hoards of tourists and residents past the Statue of Liberty everyday. In fact, the Staten Island Ferry is the sole direct transportation between Staten Island and Manhattan. Famous movies and television shows that were filmed in whole or in part on Staten Island include: The Godfather, GoodFellas, Donnie Brasco, A Beautiful Mind, Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Godzilla: The Series. The five national parks in Staten Island are Great Kills Park, Miller Field, Fort Wadsworth, Hoffman Island, and Swinburne Island.
